The Oldies are back…

How many weeks she been at number one now?
Commented by bse on July 26, 2007 at 2:20 pmMust be the biggest song since Crazy right?
10 weeks at number one…do we blame her from all this bloody rain we’ve been getting?
Commented by Becca on July 26, 2007 at 2:39 pmAlbum chart seems a bit weird to me. I’d have thought all the Kings of Leon fans would have got the album ages ago (like myself) and both Interpol and New Young Pony Club had eagerly anticipated albums released (critically anticipated not just my anticipation I hasten to add). Where are they? And how is Nelly Furtado in there when whenever I’m in HMV the person in front of me is being told they can’t have a refund for her album even though they agree it is something quite terrible? The rain has made people mad I tell thee, quite mad
Commented by Jen on July 27, 2007 at 9:04 amIn my opinion that Nelly Furtado album is in the top 3 albums released last year…
Interpol went in and then fell out didnt they?
Commented by Becca on July 27, 2007 at 9:45 amah yeah looking at your archives I see that it went in at number 2, that’s not so bad then. Mammoth is a brilliant song and I only wish I can be bothered to trek all the way out to Alexandra Palace to see them later in the year, but I hate that journey and will have to content myself with just seeing the Klaxons instead
Commented by Jen on July 27, 2007 at 2:17 pmI want Rihanna out the charts only so I can, at some later date, put Umbrella in a mix cd for someone and have them go ‘Oh, I loved this.’
At this rate I can hope to do that after 2167 AD
Commented by Monsterwork on July 28, 2007 at 4:01 pmyeah….I think it’lll be a fair while. About the same time that people haven’t heard Gnarls Barkely Crazy for a bit.
Commented by Becca on July 28, 2007 at 4:54 pmit is just a coincidence that Timbaland knocks Rihanna off of number one and we get a week of sunshine forecast right?
